As the School embarked on the 2016-2017 academic year, we entered the first year with our new mission statement and implemented our core values:
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Lebanon Middle School community challenges and supports all learners in a rigorous, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environment.
To achieve our mission, we strive to foster curiosity, lifelong learning, and global citizenship while encouraging individual aptitudes, interests, and talents by underscoring our core values of LMS PRIDE:
CORE VALUES
Leadership
We believe in modeling for others and being a positive public example in all we do.
Motivation
We try our best to accomplish our goals and encourage others to do the same.
Spirit
We influence each other positively with a sense of pride in our school and community.
Perseverance
We continue to try even when something is difficult.
Respect
We value each other and treat each other kindly with an appreciation of our differences.
Integrity
We are honest and fair, and we work hard to “do the right thing,” even when others are not looking.
Dependability
We trust each other and count on each other.
Excellence
We recognize the challenge of attaining excellence, but we still strive to be our best in all we do and say.
The School enjoyed a stable year with little change from the previous academic year.
The School continued to focus on teaming and being a middle school with an emphasis on the social/emotional learning of all students.
Ms. Martha Langill retired from the District after 30 years at the conclusion of this academic year.
