Concussions

 We have all seen in the news that diagnoses of concussions or TBI's (traumatic brain injuries) has increased over the last few years. We consider any hit to the head or body seriously. Students know that they are required to check in with the nurse if/when a head injury occurs during school hours. Parents should contact the school nurse if a concussion happens outside of school hours. The nurse will collaborate with a parent/guardian to discuss recommendations for follow up and monitoring.
